Former Patient at Granville CenterA fracture in my right hip left me immobile and weak. I needed assistance for standing, walking, and even bathing. At Granville Center, the OT and PT staff were very strong and helpful. The activities were active and inclusive – they always had a variety to offer. My family was grateful that I was getting the therapy I needed to be safe when I returned home. Raquel and Gemma were able to quickly determine what I was able to do and how I could improve. All the staff at Granville Center were pleasant, capable, and very hard working. I would recommend this facility for anyone who needs healing.
Billie
Former Patient at Granville CenterA bad skin infection on my leg threw me off balance. I was unable to walk normally and I was in desperate need of help. A month at Granville Center was enough time to heal and have fun as well. At first, I was welcomed by a polite and friendly therapy staff who were all very good and helpful. I was only able to attend a few activities, but they were very enjoyable. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for good therapy because in my opinion, Granville Center is better than any other place.

Resident at Granville CenterI had been in and out of the ICU at Glens Falls Hospital for a month, and my muscle tone was gone. I was in bad shape. My legs couldn’t support my body. I knew that my journey back to good health would only be beginning when I left the hospital. Choosing the right place to rehab was crucial, and my daughter and I set out to research my options. From the reviews, ratings and comments online, I decided on Granville Center—and from the moment I arrived I knew I made the right choice. The place was so clean, and everyone was all smiles. But when I went to the rehab gym and I saw the residents moving about, I got very emotional. One of the Physical Therapists saw how upset I was and came over to me. That can be you, she said. Work hard, and we’ll get you back on your feet. That’s all I needed: hope. The caring, compassionate, expert staff at Granville Center have done so much for me.

Former Patient at Granville CenterI broke my arm and had trouble getting in and out of bed. I needed help taking a bath and getting dressed. I got all the help I needed at Granville Center. Kim and Jess from therapy helped me get better. The entire staff is just wonderful, they work hard and are there when you need them. I have returned home and am back on my own, thanks to the team at Granville Center. I would recommend to anyone who needs rehab.

Former Patient at Granville CenterI had a bad foot infection and I was in poor shape. I could barely walk or get out of bed. Coming to Granville Center made all the difference in the world. The staff was welcoming. Therapy was amazing. Each and every member of the staff has the patience of a saint. I really appreciate the positive energy, especially from Tomias and Martin. I can walk normally again. But now that I’m home, I miss the folks at Granville Center.

Former Patient at Granville CenterI had a massive stroke. I’m lucky to be alive. But I lost so much: the ability to walk, talk—to do just about anything. The worst thing was not being able to be with my kids. I needed a lot of help. Granville Center came to the rescue. Everyone there is extremely talented, but I have a special place in my heart for the therapists—physical, occupational, and speech. The hospital saved my life; Granville Center made it a life worth living. They taught me to walk and talk again, to eat a normal meal, to move around on my home. Most important of all, they got me back to my kids. A big shout-out to the entire Granville Center team.

Former Patient at Granville CenterI was not walking well—mainly because my toes had just been cut off. I needed assistance with many mundane tasks, including hygiene and dressing. The staff at Granville Center was excellent. The rehab team was the best. I even got to attend some of the activities. Thank you, Granville Center. I really liked and enjoyed the music activities. Plus, I healed up very well.

Former Patient at Granville CenterI was experiencing a lot of pain and needed rehab. I needed assistance to do everyday tasks such as bathing, dressing, and getting in and out of bed. The staff at Granville Center made me feel very comfortable and went above and beyond. The therapy staff was amazing. Gemma and Kim helped me the most, and I looked forward to working with them daily. Thank you, Granville Center. 5 stars to you! I will miss everyone I worked with; they were great.

Former Patient at Granville CenterI suffered acute respiratory failure and was rushed to the hospital, where they stabilized me. But when the time came to be discharged, I was in no condition to go back home. I could barely sit up on my own. It was very scary. Going to Granville Center for my rehab was a real turning point. The whole team was great, encouraging me to keep going. The rehab staff was outstanding: Day by day I felt my strength and confidence building. In just two weeks, I was back home, my fears gone. I would recommend Granville Center to anyone who needs rehab!
Marjorie Baker
Former Patient at Granville CenterI was very sick and in terrible shape. I was weak and unable to do anything on my own. In short, I was a mess. The Granville Center team took charge and changed everything. Therapy was excellent. The therapists were all awesome, especially Marie and Julie. With their encouragement, I got stronger. Thanks to Granville Center, after a month, my health and my life much improved, I returned home and back to my family.
Matthew
Former Patient at Granville CenterI was coughing and had a really hard time breathing. The worst was the wheezing – I would find myself just trying to catch my breath. The pain was awful, I needed help doing everything. When I first arrived at Granville Center, I had a glimmer of hope. The therapy was outstanding – they really got me going! The nursing staff always had a good attitude and they all worked hard. My breathing affected me less and less every day. After only a month at Granville Center, my debilitating pain had subsided. I had returned to my regular self with strength and dignity. This therapy facility deserves the highest praise and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a second chance at life.
Polly Niles
Former Patient at Granville CenterWhen my body was attacked by my own immune-system, I was shaken to the core. I needed assistance in all my regular tasks – even walking! I never imagined I would be someone who had to lean on another person to walk a mere 50 feet. It was totally humiliating. Granville Center welcomed me with open arms and an open heart. All the therapy staff worked very hard to make me independent again. My muscles are stronger now and activities that were difficult for me to do before are now easy. The whole team contributed to my successful rehabilitation. After only 3 weeks at Granville Center, I am my old self again. I can dress myself, use the restroom myself, and even climb stairs myself. I would definitely recommend this facility to my family and friends because this is the place to go when you need help.

Former Patient at Granville CenterMy skin started turning blue. I started to breathe rapidly. I was confused…and then I lost consciousness. Thankfully I was taken to the hospital. I had respiratory failure. But the hospital was just the beginning of my journey back to health. I was discharged to Granville Center for rehab, and they did a spectacular job. It would have been easy to give up, but the therapists wouldn’t let me. It took time, four months in all, but the Granville Center team got me back home. Now I can breathe again!

Former Patient at Granville CenterShakiness, low energy, and weakness were my symptoms when I came to Granville Center. I wasn’t able to walk, bathe, or even dress myself. My time at Granville Center helped me recover. The CNA’s were good and the rehab staff were excellent – especially Marie and Anita. The only reason I was able to go home was because they got me up and motivated me until the end. When I left, I was balanced, high-energy, and stronger. I want to thank the facility for all the help they provided over my two months there and I would recommend Granville Center to my friends and family over any other facility!

Former Patient at Granville CenterDiabetes took a heavy toll on my body. I felt tired all the time, my legs weren’t working properly, and I was losing more weight by the day. Daily tasks were impossibly challenging and my life became one big drag. Then I came to Granville Center and my life improved dramatically. The entire rehab team made it their goal to make me whole again. With therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, and manual therapy techniques, I was regaining control of my body and my life. Today, I am stronger and can walk more than twice as much as before. After only 3 months of caring and motivation, I was able to get dressed, use the restroom, and bathe with modified independent. I would highly recommend Granville Center for anyone seeking to reclaim their life.

Former Patient at Granville CenterMy legs were very weak. I had all I could do to stand up. I needed help to do everything. Coming to Granville Center changed everything. The rehab staff is excellent. Kim and Jess from therapy were able to help me with anything I needed. They always worked very hard to help me. I can now walk and do things for myself. Granville Center made a huge difference in my life.

Former Patient at Granville CenterI have a bad heart, and it makes my life very difficult and painful. When I arrived at Granville Center, I was greeted by a very friendly staff. They were always very polite and helpful. The facility itself was also very clean, which I found to be very impressive. The rehab team in charge of my recovery were very good and professional. Today, I am a lot stronger and I am able to go back to doing what I could not do before. I want to thank Granville Center for returning me to health!
